SORT Members Please Read Before Making
Bookings
All Members must sign and return a SORT Membership Agreement before
making your first booking. This agreement must be completed and signed
each year by all SORT Members.
When making bookings:
1. It is the responsibility of every shipper to check and confirm
rates upon booking. Extras such as EFS, DTHC, Wharfage, etc. are subject
to change.
2. Members must use contract numbers will making bookings.
3. SORT contract numbers must appear on bills of lading.
4. The published rates are only available to SORT Members.
If comparing SORT rates to alternative carriers:
1. Often lower rates are due to decreased services and/or longer transit
times. If shopping rates, remember to compare services and transit times
for alternative carriers.
2. If you find rates to be uncompetitive into a specific port, please
notify SORT.
SORT Rate Confidentiality Policy:
These rates are to be kept strictly confidential and are not to be
reported by members/users to any other party. No one shall disclose the
terms or conditions unless authorized in writing by SORT. This information
and rates are intended for use by SORT members only.
